Plymouth City Council is responsible for the management of five cemeteries four closed churchyards and the city's two crematoria.

Staff at the facilities are responsible for:

Arranging over 3000 cremations and burials a year
Dealing with enquiries and answering questions from the public, assisting families in choosing appropriate and personal memorials
Assisting families with family history searches

Efford Cemetery and Crematoria

The cemetery opened in 1907 and the crematoria in 1934. The chapel at Efford is non-denominational with seating for forty people.

Book of Remembrance room
Garden of Remembrance
Burial Plots and Vaults for the burial of Cremated remains
Columbaria
Toilets

Opening Hours Office Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm Grounds and the Book of Remembrance:
The Grounds and the Book of Remembrances rooms are open to the public 365 days a year

9am to 7pm - 1 April to 30 September
9am to 4pm - 1 October to 31 March

Saturday
9am to 7pm - 1 April to 30 September
9am to 4pm - 1 October to 31 March

Sunday and Public Holidays
