Sherwood Forest Crematorium is unique by virtue of its environmental excellence. It is the first crematorium in Britain to install equipment designed to protect against heavy metal pollution, a key factor in the destruction of marine habitats.

Dedicated in January 2006 by the Bishop of Southwell this facility sets new standards of client care for people across North Nottinghamshire. It is open every day of the year, to people of all religions or none.

By Car - The crematorium is situated one mile south of Ollerton and may be reached by taking the turning marked Boughton, just north of the village of Wellow on the A616.

By Train - The nearest main line stations are at Mansfield or Newark.

By Bus - Various services run cross country from Mansfield, Newark and Worksop
