Cremations can take place Monday to Friday, every forty minutes between 9.00 a.m. and 3.45 p.m. A Cremation service can last for a maximum of twenty minutes, which then allows time for the mourners of the service to leave the Crematorium before the mourners for the next service start to arrive. However extra time can be booked for an additional fee if required.

All religious and non-religious requirements can be met by the Crematorium. If you have any special requests please make arrangements when booking the service.

At all times cremated remains are given respect. Each cremation is separately carried out promptly following the cremation service and in accordance with the Code of Cremation Practice of the Federation of British Cremation Authorities.

Following the cremation, the remains may be dealt with according to choice in any of the following ways:

• Scattering on the Old Gardens Lawns which are situated behind the Columbarium
• Scattering on the New Memorial Garden Lawns which are situated around the Book of Remembrance Chapel
• Loosely deposited at an existing or new Rose Bush
• Interred in the Columbarium
• Interred in a family plot or grave
• Interred in a new cremation plot

Remains may also be collected from the Crematorium for interment at another Cemetery or scatter elsewhere according to personal choice.

Cremation staff will carry out your wishes promptly and with dignity. Arrangements may also be made to attend while the remains are being laid to rest at no extra cost. Staff will also be happy to accommodate bereaved families wishes and special arrangements with regard to a service. For example families may wish to organise their own Minister or Officiant.
