The Memorial Wall Garden and the Garden of Remembrance have been provided as Memorial to all who have been cremated at Chester Crematorium, and the many trees, shrubs and flowers cultivated there are for the benefit of all those to whom the Garden holds sacred ties.
Relatives and friends of the deceased are asked to refrain from placing tokens of Remembrance of any kind in the Garden, as they quickly deteriorate and become unsightly.
For those who wish to bring flowers for special occasions or anniversaries, it is suggested that they be placed in the receptacles provided either outside the Book of Remembrance room or in the Memorial Walled Garden.
WE REGRET THAT NO FURTHER INDIVIDUAL VASES CAN BE ACCEPTED.
Garden of Remembrance Scattering of Cremated RemainsWhen cremated remains are scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the Crematorium, a record is kept of the section of the Garden that is used.
It may comfort you to know that this information is available on request from the Crematorium Office.
If a family member expresses a wish for their own cremated remains to be scattered in the same section of the Garden of Remembrance as their relative or loved one, this can be arranged for them.
A plan of the relevant sections of the Garden of Remembrance is available from the Crematorium Office if required.
